I just wanted to say thank you to Colombia! I had an amazing experience putting in some work but also enjoying the culture and landscape. We held a press conference to sound off about the recent trans murders in Pereira with Colectivo Prisma, which is an LGBTI organization aiming for the social inclusion of our community in Latin America. Aside from the tourist attractions and enjoying the amazing food, I was asked to participate in the Carnaval de Barranquilla which is the biggest cultural celebration of Colombia! It was amazing! Also in Barranquilla, I got a chance to work with Sueños LGBTI who gives shelter to those individuals who get disowned by their families for just being who they are. With all the press and news coverage, I'm confident to say that we left a lasting impression in Colombia and I know this is only the beginning of a domino effect of equality and acceptance within that country. See you in Mexico next month! Arriba Latino America!
